In this video from Castle Arts we show you how to draw and shade a knight on horseback using our 40 Piece Premium Quality Drawing Set. For this illustration we use blue barrelled pencils in HB, B, 2B and 4B, paper and twin-tipped blenders, kneadable erase and sanding block, all contained in the 40 Piece Set.

You can also download an A4 PDF tutorial which guides you through the techniques used to shade and blend the illustration. The PDF also includes a pencil sketch outline of the knight on horseback so you can print out and practice as many times as you like.

Once you've completed your knight on horseback artwork, upload to Instagram using the hashtag #castlearts, we would love to see and share your artwork. Enjoy!
