In this video from Castle Arts we show you how to shade a medieval castle using our 40 Piece Premium Quality Drawing Set. For this illustration we use charcoal pencils in hard, medium and soft, medium compressed charcoal stick, willow sticks, both blenders and kneadable eraser, all contained in the 40 Piece Set.
You can also download an A4 PDF tutorial which guides you through the techniques used to shade and blend the illustration. The PDF also includes a pencil sketch outline of the medieval castle so you can print out and practice as many times as you like.
Once you've completed your medieval castle, upload to Instagram using the hashtag #castlearts, we would love to see and share your artwork. Enjoy!
